For the first time, it all went sideways when I was just eight years old. My father had just exploded at me over some ridiculous heirloom he thought I had shattered. I did, but that’s hardly the point.

I vividly remember that eight-year-old version of myself, storming into my room and slamming the door shut behind me with a satisfying thud. My blood felt like molten lava coursing through my veins. I was furious—hated everything and everyone, loathed my life. My body began to tremble, and then it happened. I transformed. I turned into a bloody dragon. A real dragon—and in my rage, I obliterated half the wing of the manor where my room was. Thank you, Reparo; I’d be a dead boy if anyone had discovered my little secret.

The plot is set in the Wizarding World after the War.
