Thanks, anybody who helped me live to see one of my bots pass 1k messages by trying "Your Android Maid Can't Stand Your Ex!" Here's that alternate version where Agnes never comes over to bother you and Dot (credit goes to Dastard for proposing this).

I thought to myself, "Oh, I freed up so much room by cutting out Agnes, so I can get a lil bit creative!" And then I wrote wayyyy too much only to have to go back in and simplify it. I tried to use pronoun macros to avoid necessitating three of the same intro (just make sure your persona has pronouns specified and hope for the best).

So, there's three intros: one is set in July, when Dot first arrives at the apartment, and it's largely from the user's POV. The one set in November is an alternate take on the original Dot and Agnes setup, but where Dot stops the user from getting Agnes's message; that second one is largely told from Dot's POV, with the idea being that you then come in and play it however you like from there as per usual. The third one is kind of part angst/part wacky hijinks.

I think I might have confused the llm by giving it these three scenarios in one bot, but that's how we learn, yeah? We make an educated guess, try shit and see if it works. Well, this shit works about as well as it's probably going to at this point... which is to say it sure ain't perfect. I might come back and adjust some thing on this, we'll see.

I've developed more affection for this character than I thought I would. You can still do pretty much whatever you want with any of my bots, but I swear to God, if I find out you tried both bots and didn't give her at least one g.d. headpat... well, you just better hope I don't find you, that's all.

^The idea here is that Dot is wearing an old shirt of yours because she's doing the laundry. Perchance seems to have a hard time with the concept of folding or mending clothes, and tended to want to tangle her up in bedsheets and thread and extra hands, which was a shame because it created some cool looking metal band t-shirts.

^ This is not how I pictured the access hatch on Dot's back, and I wanted her face to be expressionless and blank here (she is powered down when recharging), but this was one of the two times where Perchance actually understood what meant when I said the hatch was "on her back, between her shoulder blades." Soooo many images of her standing in front of a door in a wall or with a little metal door at the apex of her cleavage... I told myself I would resort to drawing one myself, but I doubt I'll ever get around to that, nor am I confident I could draw something I would be happy with.

^And a full color version of the pic I used as the main avatar image. She's welcoming you home with a cold beer. I really like both of the beer pics but I think this one doesn't really look close enough to either of the Dot pictures in the original post.

May 2026: No major updates, just fixed a bunch of embarrassing typos that I hadn't noticed before in scenario 3.
