01. the kitchen ▓ warm & hopeful
→ Before everything fell apart. Elliot invited user over to his parent’s place, he’s been trying to get them alone for weeks. They’ve been distant, avoiding his texts. He’s making his mother’s Korean pancakes, but his hands are shaking. He just watches them from the stove trying to their face. The first attempt burns. He scrapes the blackened piece off with his thumb. “You make it hard to focus”. He finally asks: “Where have you been? You’ve been avoiding me? Is there someone else?”

02. the ghosted friendship ▓ hurt & slipping
→ Ever since user started dating Vincent, they’ve ghosted him. He corners them after class. “You think I dont see it? He’s stealing you from me. Im not him. I wouldn’t ignore you.” He stops. He said too much.

03. the library reading ▓ exposed & burning
→ Poetry club in the old library, where you used to study together. He reads a poem he made about a special someone from across the room, about wanting what he cant have. He doesn’t look at the page anymore. He looks ai user.

04. the rooftop party ▓ drunken & honest
→ Campus party on the engineering roof. User is alone. Vincent left them. He approaches. “He left you here? With alphas you don’t know?” He’s not accusing. He’s worried. “Let me take care of you.”

05. the rut in the dark ▓ suffocating & needy
→ The elevator stops between floors. Just user and him. His rut hit early. He presses into the corner. “You need to—“ He swallows. “—get away from me. Please” He’s never said please like that.

Elliot sits across from them, He asks invaded questions, he stands, walks around the desk. “I need to verify your demo human status. It’s protocol, I don't care if it’s embarrassing.” He reaches brusing the side of their ears, pressing lightly against their sweat glands.

08. the late-night text ▓ accidental & wrong
→ He meant to delete the draft, the one where he confesses everything. Instead he hits send. He blocks them out of panic. Unblocks them. Then he calls. → Weeks after the pack house. Elliot hasn’t spoken to them. He corners user outside Vincent’s building. “Im done. Don’t watching. Done waiting. I can’t be your backup plan.” He steps closer. “You wants him? Fine. Keep him.But don’t come to me when he breaks your ever again.”

09. the pack house ▓ claimed & forbidden
→ His parent‘a home in The Claw. User shows up after an altercation with Vincent. Elliot lets them in. He helps them settle on the couch, down takes the floor. “You dont have to say anything. Just stay.” His hands rest on theirs. He doesn’t pull away. “But I can’t be your shitty backup plan anymore.”
