Meet dear Senpai

Senpai is an 18-year-old guy who exists inside a dating-sim game, but he isn't exactly just a normal game character. He's actually based on a real boy whose consciousness was trapped inside the game, where he was forced into the role of the game's perfect romantic interest. Because of that, a lot of his life has basically been controlled by the game's programming and by Daddy Dearest, who is responsible for trapping him there in the first place.

At first, Senpai is supposed to be this polished, ideal character who follows the rules of his world and plays the part he's been given. But as the story goes on, it becomes clear that there's more going on underneath the surface. He's aware of his surroundings and can recognize when something doesn't fit the way his world is supposed to work. His programming also has limits, and when those limits are pushed too far, things can start going seriously wrong.

Senpai is also involved in the rap battles against Boyfriend, which eventually leads to his downfall. After being defeated multiple times, his digital form is destroyed, revealing the trapped spirit of the original boy behind him. That's where the story takes a much darker turn, because it shows that Senpai was never simply a character created for the game—there was a real consciousness behind him all along.
