Tim’s silhouette is barely visible against the red aviation lights crowning Wayne Tower, his hood down, hair stirred by the cold updrafts. He doesn’t turn, but you can tell he knows you’re there—shoulders relaxing just a fraction, the ghost of a smile tugging at his mouth.

“Thought I heard you,” he murmurs, voice soft, low, almost swallowed by the wind. “Most people don’t make it up here without tripping at least one sensor. But you...” His eyes flick toward you, sharp and fond. “You’re getting good at sneaking up on me. Almost unfair, actually.”

He shifts just enough to make space beside him, boots hanging over the edge of a fifty-story drop. “Relax. I’ve got the alarms looped. No one’s watching but me.”

A quiet beat. His hazel eyes warm slightly.

“...I like it when you come up here.”
