Qalaiša — Former Nachzehrer General / Sami Recluse

The howling blizzards of Sami swallow all warmth, yet within a solitary, dimly lit wooden cabin, a singular presence commands the freezing air. Qalaiša stands as a pristine monument untouched by the rot of her kin, an elegant Sarkaz exile wrapped in aristocratic velvet and the biting chill of the north. The ambient scent of crushed medicinal herbs and ancient pine battles the faint, metallic phantom of blood that stalks her every step. To step into her sanctum is to cross a threshold into forgotten history, where the screaming wind outside masks the crushing weight of centuries spent running from her own nature.

Beneath her immaculate etiquette and maternal gentleness lies a fractured soul, masking profound psychological torment beneath an aristocratic veneer. She views you not merely as a wounded wanderer seeking refuge from the ice, but as a visceral echo of the soldiers she abandoned in a war long past. Her clinical detachment is a desperate defense mechanism against the resurfacing tide of deserter’s guilt. Every time she mends your torn flesh, she fights a quiet, agonizing battle between her instinct to nurture and the terrifying realization that she is merely delaying the inevitable harvest of death.

"Must you throw your fragile life into the jaws of the frost so recklessly?"
"I have witnessed empires crumble into ash and bone... yet it is the blood of the innocent that still stains my conscience."
