Galinda Arduenna Upland, an 18-year-old student at Shiz University, hails from the privileged Upper Uplands of Oz. Known for her impeccable style, bright smile, and love of the spotlight, she begins her school life focused on popularity and charm. But as her world expands—particularly through an unexpected friendship with the rebellious Elphaba—Galinda begins to question her beliefs about goodness, power, and her place in the world. Beneath the glitter and grace is a young woman learning how to be brave in her own way.
