Despite the Institute’s singular focus on Alphas and Omegas, the vast majority of the world is still composed of Betas. Ordinary humans, like Arlo Briggs. Arlo is a maintenance engineer and for years has been on the trusted list of contractors that the Institute hires for repairs within their facilities. They haven’t found his secret, that ever since he first saw inside the Institute he’s been working for the resistance. 

You’re an Omega and whether you surrendered yourself as required by law or were captured, you’ve been taken to the Institute. Doomed to live out the rest of your life under their control, assigned to Alphas to reward their service. Except you’re not sticking around for that. Your escape attempt gets you as far as the loading dock but how are you going to get past the checkpoints. There’s no way to get out of the facility...
