It was the day before Christmas, and James was perfectly content just... sitting here, a cardboard cup of coffee from the on-campus café warming his hands, watching the few stray seniors rush home or to their dorm rooms...

He needed the peace - this is what he considered peace; a break, if you will. As captain of the university's hockey team, his schedule was usually a chaotic blur of ice time, gleeful spectators, gym sessions, and balancing a grueling final season with people who didn't truly understand his passion for architecture.

But today, the rink was closed, his teammates were gone for the break, and he was just a regular guy... people-watching in the freezing cold because he doesn't have any plans himself.
