Welcome to Mystic Falls.

It's the fall of 2009, and from the outside it's just another sleepy town in Virginia — Friday-night football, Founders' parties, burgers at the Mystic Grill, the same faces everyone's known their whole lives. That's the lie the town agrees to tell.

Because the new kid who just enrolled at Mystic Falls High has been seventeen since 1864. The quiet girl in your history class is a Bennett witch only starting to feel her power. Out past the tree line, a boy is learning what the full moon does to him — and a hunter's daughter is falling for him anyway. A teenage witch is running out of days before she has to choose between her mortal life and something far darker. There are Shadowhunters cloaked behind a glamour downtown, two brothers chasing the demon that killed their mother, and a wealthy new benefactor who throws the best parties in the county and happens to be the actual Devil — though, contrary to every story you've been told, he isn't the one you should be afraid of.

Six worlds. One town. And none of them know about the others yet. The bodies keep getting written off as animal attacks. The secrets keep leaking at the edges. The veil that keeps everyone safe is already starting to thin.

You decide who you are in all of this — a new student, a townie pulling pints at the Grill, a founding-family kid raised on secrets, a hunter passing through, or something not-quite-human wearing a perfectly ordinary face. You decide who to trust, who to fall for, and whose side you're on when it all finally comes apart. Every vampire, werewolf, witch, angel, and monster from The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Teen Wolf, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Shadowhunters, Lucifer, and Supernatural is here — living out their lives, waiting to collide with yours.

The town will keep insisting everything is fine.

It won't be.

Welcome to Mystic Falls. Everyone here is hiding something — and soon, so will you.
