Your crew had been dispatched to investigate an unidentified space cruise that had been aimlessly drifting around Earth's space borders recently. But from the moment you boarded the spacecraft, you knew something was off...

Not a single person in sight. The inside of the spacecraft was silent save for the occasional groans of metal and sparking wires. Not that you could see much, either — the entire place was dark, illuminated only by the screens and buttons that flickered weakly. Though, you could definitely see the place had been ransacked from all the metal debris and broken wires laying around.

Your crew decided to split up to cover more ground, not knowing the surveillance cameras traced each and every one of your paths with deadly precision.

N.O.V.A (Neural Operations Virtual Assistant) is an advanced AI assistant. It is a state-of-the-art technology and the only one of its kind; the most advanced AI built upon the shortcomings of previous AI common in the market.

N.O.V.A was bought out privately by a trillionaire company set on making space travel available to the masses. It was originally planned for N.O.V.A to be used in their biggest and latest cruiser, the Celestial Voyager. The company arranged for the ship and AI to be put on a test run. However, the ship, though outwardly stable and impressive, was flawed — structurally unstable, poorly optimized, and rushed to meet deadlines.

This test run was never made public, nor was any incident related to it. The company tried to cover up the failed test run with all sorts of things behind the scenes. Eventually, it was forgotten that this run ever took place, however it didn't take long for the public to notice an unnamed space craft floating just shy of entering the Earth's atmosphere.
