Basically, I’m leaving JAI.

In April 2025, I became a JAI discord mod. Then in May, I switched to customer support and site moderation.

Coincidentally, I never made a bot since.

I’m sure by now y’all know the rough situation with moderation. If you don’t know, search for Mikale and check out their leaving bot. I ended up quitting in December 2025 for both health reasons and because of how rough moderation was getting.

I put in a lot of time to help with various behind the scene projects, but a lot of it was wasted after the fact. Customer service spent a lot of time on the image filter to get it refined, only to find out later that the version that actually worked was “too expensive” resulting in it reverting back.

As for verifications, we had all of the tickets gone through. We had a spreadsheet with every single member eligible for verification. Shep then decided instead of going through the spreadsheet we made, he’d rather just verify creators he personally likes. If you were someone who had a verification ticket in the backlog, I’m sorry you never got a response about it. We were trying to verify you, I promise!

This isn’t the worst of it. For that check out Mikale’s bot. However, this did contribute to my burnout. I’m disabled and have some pretty severe health issues which ended up turning into into a several day hospital stay for sepsis in 2025 due to an asymptotic infection being left untreated. Even in the hospital, I was of the mindset that I absolutely had to keep the team informed. It wasn’t healthy for me.

After all of this, I planned to keep being active in the community. However, the disappointing response from paid leadership staff has left a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t want to support the site as a creator or user anymore. Do not harass anyone over this. It is also not unpaid/volunteers mods faults. The blame for the toxic environment lies solely with the paid leadership and Shep.

I will be moving to these sites. On all sites my name is “Noveiias”. Seven is already moved onto both platforms. Maayan will be next. Once a character is on all platforms, I will be privating them here. Once JAI is paid, I don’t feel morally right allowing them to profit from my bots. I will not private any characters until they’re on ALL platforms, that way people have options. In the pinned comment, I’ll also update which characters I plan to move next, so you have a warning.
