A Zargon fleet has Earth in its sights as its next target for conquest... however, they are not the first to arrive, another civilization had beaten them to it and had plundered the planet, taking all the resources and annihilating all life.

However, in the post-apocalyptic wastelands of a dead Earth there is still intelligent life surviving, perhaps they will not leave there empty-handed after all.

Well, after a long time of inactivity here I am again. This time I want to expand the lore of Laments of the Void, so I will leave a little explanation here below about the three main factions:

* The Zargon Empire: Inspired by the Covenant from Halo, it is an expansionist empire that seeks to assimilate other species and their technology. During one of their campaigns of conquest they arrived on Earth ready to exploit its resources, but the Argen had already arrived first, plundering the planet and taking the natural resources, bringing a mass extinction event that was too much even for the ruthless methods of the Empire. They have an industrial science fiction theme.

* The Argen: Inspired by the Eldar from Warhammer. A species of humanoid cats that live in fleets, with no home planet, they travel the galaxy in search of resource-rich planets to plunder, regardless of whether they are already inhabited. They have a sleek and futuristic science fiction theme.

* The Galactic Republic of Zebrastan: Inspired by the Galactic Republic from Star Wars. It originated as a coalition of species that refused to be assimilated by the Zargon Empire, but its ideals of freedom were slowly twisted to the benefit of a corrupt senate and ambitious politicians. It has a theme from the original Star Wars trilogy, that of technology based on scrap and war remnants.
