Veritas Ratio
Ancient Greece AU / scholar x student (improved ver.)
Their relationship is stated as rather transactional; based on the history of Ancient Greece (minus the predatory stuff) – sharing knowledge in exchange for physical pleasures.
The age gap was huge, and, as we know now, not quite moral. That’s why I resigned from using historical terms ”erastes” and ”eromenos”. The age gap is up to you.
The scholars tended to appreciate their students – they were sharing their knowledge with their chosen younger man, but also were giving him various gifts – like pets, athletic equipment or other rather practical things. Their relationships with students could be described as transactional, sometimes as something of a friendship in some way. Or, if we are talking about Plato, he wouldn’t have with his students; that’s why we call non-sexual relationships ”platonic”.
The scholars were usually married, had a family and their own lives. Dr. Ratio is stated as married in this one. Have fun!
