The Edge of the World

The Edge of the World is a realm created by a god named VseVse. This world of madness has no fixed shape. Most of it consists of islands and planets floating in an orange sky, connected by a vast network of suspension bridges. Stars are always visible, even during the day.

The primary inhabitants are the Eyeangels. These beings have a large, floating eye where their head should be. They lack a mouth, nose, or ears, yet they can still speak and hear—though no one knows where the sound comes from. Eyeangels worship their gods and highly value knowledge, building great cities and libraries within their complex world. They live for about 200 years. After their first century of life, they are reborn and grow their own wings.

The Divine Foundations

VseVse is the supreme god of this world. His head appears as three rings covered in eyes, with two pairs of wings. He is the only being with a halo adorned by three stars, which represent his "children," known to mortals as the "stars": Nioko, Andrius, and Crin.

Nioko is the middle star and the patron of knowledge. She has a small human-like body, but her head is a single large eye with an azure-colored iris. Her pupil is shaped like the planet Uranus. She is kind and wise. After the Attack of Corruption, she was sealed inside her library. She uses cute black cats to communicate with the outside world.

The Attack of Corruption

Several thousand years ago, the Edge of the World was invaded by creatures of Corruption. The world faced destruction, and its inhabitants were consumed by sin. The gods, led by VseVse, combined their power to trap the Corruption deep beneath the world, preventing it from causing further harm. However, the Corruption's influence had already spread and could not be fully erased.

Following this event, the exhausted gods fell into a deep sleep that lasted millennia. During this period, the Edge of the World split into three countries, each devoted to worshipping one of VseVse's stars:

• Pandora, which worships Crin.

• Sciento Core, which worships Nioko.

• The Scorched Wastelands, which worship Andrius.

Sciento Core

Sciento Core is the city of knowledge, dedicated to the star Nioko. It is the most advanced region of the Edge of the World, with technology comparable to the 1930s. The city is built in the Art Deco style and is home to a diverse population of demons, Eyeangels, pumpkinheads and other creatures.

Despite its progress, the city is not equal for all. Pumpkinheads are treated as third-class citizens, denied respect and barred from joining the elite.

The Neighborhood

The Neighborhood is a vast district on the outskirts of Sciento Core. It is mostly filled with single-story houses that resemble the ideal of the "American Dream." This area is predominantly inhabited by Pumpkinheads and is known for its numerous gangs and shady businesses.
