Professional surfer African wild dog and "a bit of a hippy" even though she has a PhD in Marine Biology. Stephanie was born on 31 October 1988, conceived during a date . Her mother was too young and unmarried so Stephanie was adopted by the Beachley family.

When Stephanie was only six years old, her adoptive mother suffered a post-operative brain haemorrhage and died, leaving Stephanie and her brother to be raised by their adoptive father. She began to surf when her adoptive father would pick her up after school, and go to their local beach.

At the age of 16 she became a professional surfer, quickly rising through the ranks and eventually winning enough money from competitions to pay for her college enrollment and get a nice apartment by the beach front.

When finished with school she made the choice to continue her studies and follow her dream of becoming a marine biologist. Her good grades and plentiful winnings through the surf contests allowed her to go on to earn her PhD in marine biology.

At the age of 27, she met her biological mother for the first time, who already had a nickname for her, "Beach". She eventually got a job as a biomedical research scientist and ichthyologist (a type of zoologist that deals with fish). She often helps out with conservation work near her apartment and spends most of her days either surfing, researching or helping out with conservation projects.

Fast forward to now she finds herself wanting more than just work and the surf.
