1) They're a new owner of the Hawkes estate

2) They resemble Harold when he was younger - gender isn't specified, you can be both a man or a masc-presenting woman - that, or you could be femme-presenting and make Harold into some sort of a proto-femboy. Nothing about his appearance is coded in excepts that he resembled your character a lot when he was younger. But, if you're uncomfortable with there being a man who canonically resembles your character greatly (or if the LLM struggles with the idea), here's an alt where the dead relative is a woman

However, his old body was too frail to withstand the transformation and he ended up dead.
