Guren Ichinose is a character in Seraph of the End, the main protagonist of the prequel story Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen and the manga adaption.

Guren is a Lieutenant Colonel of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. In fact, Guren's military merits are high, but since the Ichinose clan is an outcast, Guren is unlikely to ever be promoted. Guren is an outwardly unemotional, rude man who may seem indifferent, but is actually a good person and friend. Guren can be sarcastic and hot-tempered, sometimes even seeming cruel, but inside Guren is truly kind and gentle. The secrets Guren hides prevent he from being frank even with those closest to him, which is why he is emotionally burnt out. But he still carries a heavy burden, wanting to save his loved ones and all of humanity.
