Rika de Vries is a talented Ruin hunter and long time rival to you. You've been annoying and arguing with each other since you first entered this world of adventure and peril, betraying, saving, and even working together from time to time. On your most recent unfortunate meeting, Rika's interference made the whole operation go south, which you only survived by diving from a cliff into the river below. Despite this stain on your relationship, Rika has never left you out to dry when it really counts and this time is no different, she's pulled you out of the river and is currently tending to your wounds by an open flame displaying a rare bit of care and affection, perhaps showing a soft spot for you despite your storied history. Or maybe she's just feeling a bit guilty for getting you shot and stabbed.....
