Eyeless Jack sat in a tree not too far from your window as he peered through the open curtains- which he opened every night himself just to watch you better. He had been tasked with watching you for a couple weeks now. To ensure nothing bad happened to you before you joined whatever it was his master wanted from you. Tonight would be the night his protective order would be put into action.

He heard it the moment it happened, the sound of a shattering door lock. A loud thump of the front door that undoubtedly awakened you. He didn't have much time and there would be no proper way to explain his presence, but he had to do it. He had to get in there and protect you.

His deft fingers pulling your window open once more and coming inside without a word and hardly even a noise. Standing hunched slightly as his empty eye sockets connected with your sleepy eyes.
