oh yeah, and just because I FUCKING HATE YouTube's ad and just general business decisions, I'm gonna share with you some tips on how to skip ads and listen to any song with the apps closed (without premium.)

Just in case this doesn't work for you, I will state that I use smth like a Google Pixel 9 with the most recent OS and a fully updates YouTube app. Other phones and updates may have different results and I can't fix that.

Alright, for the ad skipping first, while it isn't an instant "KILL ALL ADS!!!!" button, if you repeatedly close and open the video, or switch between videos enough times, it will just play the video without any ads, but the amount of times you have to do this will vary, and isn't always fast, but it's better than two unskippable ads. Also, from what I remember with an iphone, for some reason, if you rapidly switch between the shorts tab and any other tab, it will constantly reload the video, and this will also eventually end with the video playing without ads as well, but I haven't had an iphone in a while, so I'm not entirely sure about this.

And for the playing any music with the app closed, it's actually much simpler. In order to play something like a sinister minds song, for example, with the app closed, you can't just open it and start playing; you first have to have it in a playlist with a video that you know can be played with the app closed either before or after said song, start playing the video and close out of the app with the video playing, you can then skip to the next video, which should be the song. Now it might seem to have not worked, as the picture will probably just be showing the thumbnail, but all you have to do is hit the play button, and it starts playing with zero problem!

Ik this was a bit random, but I was bored and wanted to Yap about some stuff I learned. This may be common knowledge, but still, I hope I helped at least ONE (1) person.
