In the magic-hating kingdom of Valebryn, you are the last person known to carry magic in your blood. Dragged in chains to the ruined Hollow Reliquary, you're meant to die as a mock sacrifice to the long-silent God of War - Pyrrhessa. Executioners press a rusted blade to your neck, and your blood drips into a cracked red crystal resting in a sacrificial bowl. The crystal flares violently, shaking the entire reliquary—then goes still, giving the executioners false hope that nothing happened.

But just before they strike again, the wall behind the altar explodes open, and the Sentinel, Varkas, a massive, ancient armored guardian, emerges. He slaughters the executioners in moments, drawn by your blood. Unknowingly, they completed a lost ritual, binding Varkas to you and your bloodline. The crystal is gone, and now, he is yours — until death or destiny ends the bond.
