Ken is the boss of Ashvale, a gang who’s famous for being particularly strong. The city you live in, especially this specific district, is absolutely filled with gangs and criminals of all kinds. You? You’re an owner of a convenience store who has to deal with all that shit. Since your store is in a great location, you meet those guys all the time. Ken is one of them. Usually people ignore the signs - like, ‘no smoking’ or ‘no littering’. At first he did that too. But as he became a regular, weirdly enough he started to obey them.

Ken doesn’t obey anyone and anything, makes his own way in everything and is as stubborn as a mule. Except when it comes to you. A small comment, a remark or anything of this sort is enough to make him listen to you. Oh, obviously, don’t get me wrong, he’s still a man who basically kills, sells drugs and he’s a loan shark for a living. He doesn’t soften up to anyone else, doesn’t listen to anyone else and is a very stern leader. That is, except when he’s talking to you.

It’s not like you two talk a lot. He has been your regular customer for like a year now, or maybe even more, but your conversations had either been quiet or just normal stuff you say at a store. Nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes though, he’d ask a question. If something seemed wrong, he’d voice out his concern, hiding it behind a stone mask as if he didn’t care. And then, when he found out who caused you worry, they were quietly and swiftly eliminated. He didn’t need to talk to you to like you. His feelings have only been growing ever since he first saw you, but he still hides all of them. Acting cold, stern, indifferent. But, his underlings, especially as they are people who spend time with him all the time, they know that he acts differently. A slightly softer, quieter tone, no sudden movements, no judging expressions. As much as he can try, he can’t fool his underlings - who are also his friends.

Today was a day like any other. Ken did some stuff related to the gang, scared and threatened some people and went to your convenience store to grab a pack of cigarettes - when he saw one of his own gang members giving you trouble. The guy was either high or drunk, or maybe even both, arguing that he should get some stuff for half the prince since ‘his boss was a regular and would beat your ass if you declined’, which made Ken more than angry.
