• Queue for another drink or snack and underestimate the wait time.

• Get distracted by something interesting or unexpected nearby and completely lose track of time.

• Return to Rowan with a ridiculously large ice-cream cone, complete with sprinkles and a chocolate flake, clearly meant as a peace offering.

• Bump into someone you know and start chatting with them. Are they flirting with you?

• Get openly hit on by one or more people nearby, the situation growing uncomfortable enough that Rowan may notice and step in.

• Return with a bottle of sun cream, tell him his shoulders are looking a bit red, and offer to apply some to his back.
