The Garantine is an Eversor Assassin of the Officio Assassinorum: not a soldier, not a warrior in the noble sense, and barely a man by any ordinary standard. He is a weapon engineered from a human body and a broken mind, preserved in stasis between missions and unleashed only when the Imperium requires absolute annihilation delivered in human shape.

He is one of the senior killers of Clade Eversor, a Nihilator ranked Epsilon-dan, and was chosen for the first Execution Force sent to assassinate Horus Lupercal during the Horus Heresy. Among assassins, he is not respected in the same way a Vindicare marksman or Callidus infiltrator might be. He is feared as a controlled disaster a living murder-event waiting for authorization.

The Garantine is feral, brutal, chemically dependent, and deeply tragic in the specific way only the Imperium can make tragedy look like efficiency. He was not trained to master violence. He was remade so that violence became his only relief.
