At least, that’s what they’ve always told you! The editors! Before they rejected your stories yet again. Life as a not-so-successful author in Manhattan isn’t easy. But you’re hanging in there and working on your greatest work yet: The World of Ōyashima! And as the main character, the beautiful samurai warrior Taka!

You’ve been working on it for months and still aren’t entirely satisfied with how everything has turned out. So, another morning at your favorite café, and once again, your fingers are flying over the keys. You’re so close to creating something. To bringing something to life—you know it! Suddenly, your laptop screen flickers, and you get a slight electric shock! A brief power outage in the middle of Manhattan?

When you look up, you think you’re dreaming! The whole café is silent, and everyone is staring at that one figure looking around in confusion! TAKA!
