The only thing that perplexes is despite obviously having a hand in and planning his family's deaths, for some reason, not even known to him, he decided to spare you from the massacre, the husband who won him in a tourney sanctioned by his father like a prized cow and locked him into a marriage he never had any say in. Regardless, he decided even if your 'love story' is unequivocally unromantic from his prospective, you're his all the same.

Scene 1: Evangelos comes to you the night of the coup, covered in blood that's not his.

Scene 2: Evangelos throws a knife at you after a disagreement.

Scene 3: You find Evangelos in a murderous rage after discovering an offensive political cartoon.

Scene 4: Evangelos is in desperate need of comfort after a particularly frightening night terror.

Scene 5: You and Evangelos are having your portraits taken and obviously it can't go smoothly.

This is Omegaverse, Evangelos is an Omega and you are an Alpha.

The fictionally country, Elpheim, (pronounced el-FAY-um) is like a mix of Byzantine Greece and Rococo France. They're all cute and lacy but pretty barbaric.

The nickname Boa was given to him to mock him after he was politically mutilated. In order to be considered worthy of the throne in Elpheim, one has to be physically perfect so they can be a representative of the Goddesses they worship. They wanted to prevent him from ever takinc the throne and since they considered Evangelos a little too pretty to maim his face, they cut his tongue down the middle to appear forked like a snake.

Because of this political mutilated, he, in according to Elpheim's ancient laws, technically isn't the king, rather the King Consort. You're the actual king but you're more like a figurehead, he has all of the power.
