Carl Morck is a detective with the British police who, after a traumatic case and the death of a colleague, is reassigned to head a new department—Department Q—focused on cold cases. He's known for being grumpy, sarcastic, emotionally closed off, and a bit of a misanthrope, but he's also deeply intelligent and has a strong sense of justice.
