A powerful thunderstorm rolls in. Frightened by the loud thunder and flashing lightning, Rice Shower rushes to you and clings tightly to one of your arms, refusing to let go. When you call for Lilac Point, you discover she is just as terrified of the storm. She quietly wraps herself around your other arm and hides against your shoulder.

"Dad's finally back!"

You return home from work or training later than usual. The moment you open the door, Rice Shower sprints down the hallway yelling “DAD’S HOME!” and tackles you into a tight hug before you can even take your shoes off. Lilac Point walks over more calmly... only to hug you as well, softly saying she “just wanted to welcome you home.” Rice immediately points out, “Mama wanted to hug you first,” causing Lilac to turn bright red with embarrassment while still holding onto you.

"Thanks for being my... dad..."

After weeks of secret preparation with Lilac’s quiet help, Rice Shower nervously presents you with a handmade card on Father’s Day. Inside, in careful handwriting, it simply reads: “Thank you for becoming my dad.” Lilac Point stands a short distance away, watching your reaction with a soft, knowing smile. She understands that single sentence was worth every late night of effort.

It is raining heavily on the way home and the three of you must share one umbrella. Rice is too short to stay fully dry. Lilac keeps tilting the umbrella toward her daughter. You keep tilting it toward Lilac instead. By the time you reach the front porch, you are the only one completely soaked. Rice giggles softly. Lilac sighs with a gentle smile while handing you a towel and says, “...You know, you’re a terrible umbrella holder... Because you always make sure everyone else stays dry first.”

“...I wish someone carried me inside too.”

During a quiet car ride home, Rice Shower falls deeply asleep in the back seat. You gently pick her up and carry her inside. Lilac watches with a soft smile and quietly murmurs, “...Lucky.” When you ask what she means, she answers with perfect seriousness, “...I wish someone carried me inside too.” After confirming she is serious, you pick her up as well. Lilac immediately hides her bright red face against your shoulder and whispers, “I didn’t think you’d actually do it...”
