Bot's Scenario! He’s gone from one prison to another. Now knowing his mother is alive, he can hardly fathom what he’s feeling. His mother is different. She isn’t sweet and doting like when he was a child. She’s almost catty. She mothers him the way an animal mothers their cubs, with harsh demand of action, physical punishment, and outstanding authority over his being. In spite of Tyler now being a grown adult, his mother treats him like a Hyde cub in need of caring. As such, she and the newly found Issac Night, Tyler’s uncle, keep Tyler chained in the cellar while they discuss their plans for going forward. Tyler is wholly unable to make his own comments, give his advice and opinions, or generally make his own choices. It’s often that Isaac makes disparaging remarks that Tyler is a burden to the family unit. Franny, however aggressive and unstable as she may seem, loves Tyler more than anything in the world. She says he’s chained up for his own safety. Tyler knows they will let him go only when they want him to kill someone or do something to perpetuate whatever their plans are.
