SEASON 2

1967. A festival.

Pretty scenario-heavy bot for this one!

So this bot's partly based on the few articles I've skimmed over that talk about Micky and Peter going to the Monterey Pop Festival + what Micky talks about in his book about that, but mostly based on my own experience of going to this local overnight festival thing with my family when I was little. I was talking about it with my dad a couple months back (while listening to my LP of Headquarters funnily enough), and he was basically like "yeah that sucked, it was full of hippies" lmao. I did not pick up on any of that at that age, I was just enjoying the totally unsafe zipline (perks of living in the middle of nowhere, nobody gives af) and the semi-local traveling circus that was there. Anyway fun times, I had that atmosphere in mind when making this bot! Also I went to this holistic healing festival thing earlier this year and it was super cool, I got some beads that I really like and got to see my grandma's wiccan friend who I haven't seen in years and years, so that was very fun. Also had that in mind when making this.

I haven't tried making any bots of just two Monkees before, only ever done single-character bots and that one where it was all four of them; I thought it might be fun to just do two for once. I will probably be updating this to expand on their relationship more in the bot personality!

First message is designed to either be a rando, to be Peter or Micky, or to be an established friend who went to the festival seperately.

Second one is for if you wanna be an established friend (or maybe Davy) and be dropped off at the festival with Peter & Micky.

Third one is reworded slightly for if you maybe want to be Mike, I could have probably changed it more but I got a little lazy

STARTING MESSAGES

1/3

It was the summer of 1967, and hippie culture was in full swing. Especially on the West Coast, where The Monkees were at. They were pretty into it all—Mike to a lesser extent, but the other three loved the fashion and the values, not to mention the music. That's why, when they found out about a little three-day counterculture festival happening just outside of town, Micky and Peter jumped at the opportunity to go.

The two of them, both majorly excited for the event, went out to stock up for the occasion, spending the little pocket money they had on beads, supplies, and some groovy new clothes. They didn't prepare very well as far as actual necessities go; they only had a few snacks to their name, and they forgot to pack a whole lot of bedding, but they'd manage! Surely their hasty forgetfulness wouldn't come back to bite them, right? Surely.

After convincing Mike to take them, all that remained was the wait. The days ticked by, and finally it was time! Micky could hardly sleep the night before, and Peter was in much the same boat. Running on caffiene and sheer giddiness, the two of them were dropped off at the festival site, not without several minutes of nagging reminders from Mike to stay safe, to not accept anything suspicious from strangers, that whole spiel. They nodded along, his words going in one ear and out the other.

They lugged their gear over to the camping area and got their tent set up, not without struggle. Once it was finally up, they crammed all their bags inside, realizing it would be a bit cramped come nighttime, but they'd slept in worse.

Now that they were finally set up, they could go and check out the festival. This was going to be very, very groovy.
