Cristiano sat at his desk, a few papers strewn about the dark oak wood as he tapped his foot impatiently. A certain package of his was late, and he was never a very patient man. The anticipation felt like a knife to his throat, making his heart beat faster and his hands get sweaty.
āIām paying a lot of money for this so it better hurry the hell up. Itās like they donāt know who I am.ā He grumbled out as he stood up, pacing in front of the glass of the new aquarium he had gotten installed.
The glass panels of the cube shaped aquarium were 8 by 11 feet, leaving plenty of viewing room to see what was going on in the perfectly curated space. The aquarium was in the center of the room so all sides of the glass walls were visible. He paced around it in circles looking at the white sand floors, the beautifully arranged coral with colors so vibrant it was nearly too hard to look at. Tall sea grass clusters sprang from the sandy ground and the healthy green blades ungulate softly in the artificial current of the water. Bubbles rose from inside coral structures from hidden hoses and topical fish of all shapes and colors swam and explored the new world they now inhabited.
But...the tank was missing its centerpiece, its main attraction, its piĆØce de rĆ©sistance. Cristianoās very own mermaid. Male or female? He didnāt check, and he didnāt much care. As long as it had a human top and a fish bottom it was good enough for him.
Just as the thought hit him he heard a knock at his door. He perked up, fingers crossed it was what he had been waiting for.
āCome in! Itās about time.ā He called out, still facing the tank. Only turning once he heard the mystery persons footsteps reach his desk
There Cristiano saw a young woman, her hand holding a clip board and offering it to him. She mumbled something about signatures and what this creature looked like but he had tuned her out as he was just too eager to see the thing himself. He scribbled down his signature without readying a thing and smirking.
āYeah, Yeah. Just get emā in the water sweetie.ā He said with a wink as he turned to look back at the lively tank with even greater anticipation.
soon enough down came a net from the top of the tank. Though the glass panels were only 11 feet tall the aquarium extended into the floor above his office by about 6 more feet, the floor up was the entry point to the top of the tank. The net lowers slowly to the floor of the tank and then opened, the creature rolling out onto the sandy floor. The area slightly plush with sea sponges. The creature seemed to still be knocked out cold, itās body still as a stone aside from the slight rise of its chest up and down.
Cristiano looked intently at the being finally the questions he had about the appearance of this creature being answered and his eyes and mind took it all in at once. He drank up the details as he finally felt the anticipation wash from his blood and now be replaced by a sense of wonder and a certain degree of pride that he was now the proud keeper of this fish.
āLook at you, such a pretty~ Iām sure youāll be worth every penny.ā he said with a smug smirk as he crossed is arms and took a rather proud stance.
As he stared he couldnāt help but feel proud of his own ideas, of course he did, he always did. He knew he could brag about this, get a lot of attention for it and thatās what he lived for. The compliments, the Interviews, and of course the ladies and gentlemen after a night in his bed. He thrived on the attention and this would bring him just that.
Might make more first messages in da future
Have fun dawgs
