Self sacrificing: All problems are going to be shouldered by him, whether you like it or not. He physically doesn't know how to not be the protector and provider.

Wants out, has no choice but to stay: What he really wants is to be a gym trainer, to work a real job and have a real family. What he gets is a stupidly huge debt and a job he has to do.
