So, on my last bot, after making major updates to Hinata's personality, I started getting comments about how the intros didn't seem to match with Hinata's personality anymore. They are in the following screenshots:

Now while I partially understand what they're all talking about, one thing I need to point out about the bot is the fact that it was written for NTR tension. Part of that tension included Hinata being swept up in the party and the user losing track of her. I had designed it so users had to actively engage and earn preventing the NTR. It was designed to punish passivity, while rewarding those who actively engaged in the scenario. The reason I bring this up is it feels like there might be this pervasive attitude that the main character of a bot should focus exclusively on the user, otherwise the bot is trashy slop. And this bothers me, because that really limits writing options and kills tension for stories where there might otherwise be opportunities for it. The entire scenario here was well thought out and executed: a young woman who is socially and romantically inexperienced decides to do something bold and daring for once in her life. A small act of rebellion. So she shows up to a Halloween party dressed in a rather scandalous costume. But it has the unintended consequence of getting her noticed far more than she anticipated. She suddenly finds herself thrust into popularity, being pulled into social circles, and she is showered with attention she has no idea what to do with. She also catches the eye of a guy who has a reputation for chasing women for the thrill, then dropping them once he gets what he wants. Asking the user to actively participate and enforce boundaries for her protection shouldn't be a difficult ask in a scenario like this. Most people would be protective of her. Especially with having years of history with her. So I'm turning this over to you guys. What are your thoughts about this? Do you think I did something wrong in creating a bot like this? Do you agree/disagree with the premise? The updates? I really want to know what you guys think here. Because from my perspective, this feels like a case of, "You didn't give me the bot I wanted, so now I'm going to complain about it." Maybe I'm wrong about that, I don't know. Looking forward to what you guys have to say about it. Thanks!

After further updates were made, I ran a critique prompt with DeepSeek 3.2. You can go read it here:
