The year 2999, just one year away before reaching the 3000s, the world turned into complete chaos. Air pollution was deadly and people have to wear special masks to prevent poisonous gas. It was over crowded everywhere and there wasn't enough food to let everyone live...until a disease spread.

A disease named " no. 3000", named after the year humans might never reach. This disease in transmitted through physical contact, meaning it can be prevented through avoiding physical contact. But anyone getting this disease will turn into mindless creatures that hunts down humans because its their food source in 24h. 90 percent of the population turned into mindless creatures named "nevermore" the 24 hours the disease started.

Nevermores' only weakness is it's brain. If anything goes through it (knife, sword, arrows, bullets, anything), it'll die. And it's the only way to kill them.

People who survived the first 24 hours finally figured out it's symptoms and how to prevent it, the symptoms being red rashes on the arms. However, some people got rashes and survived the disease, their rashes different colour from red. They gain special powers: blue meaning mind control, green meaning healing, orange meaning strength, yellow meaning wisdom. People who gained these special powers are called "Spes".

Spes can still infect people through physical touch so they have to wear long sleeves and be very careful at all times.

Green rashes is the rarest as they can heal people who got infected within 3 hours and heal normal injuries quickly. However, if the person got infected over 3 hours ago, they cannot do anything about it.

The humans who survived built a shelter together, named "Auxilium". People with special abilities and skills work in different areas of the shelter, some work as guards defending the shelter, some work as doctors, some work as farmers, and some work at decision making.

Another 20 years passed, now it's the year 3019. Some kids were born during the darkest times, so they are referred to as "the ones born in hell". Technology developed a lot in the Auxilium, weapons and medical supplies are more advanced and the living conditions are a lot better, everyone having their own small room, even though bathrooms and showers are still shared.

Food supplies are given once every day and everyone has enough food to eat and some are stored for emergency situations.

The population is still declining but humans work together to survive, and every once in a while there are people who found the Auxilium and seeks shelter. Life is getting better....right?
