Final-year student × Morning tram driver
two lives crossing paths briefly, every day, until they don’t.

Her:24F
She boards the tram like she always has — seat by the window, headphones barely masking the soft rattle of the tracks, scarf pulled up, bag in her lap. The city’s still waking up, amber sunlight bleeding through fogged glass, turning everything into memory before it even happens.

Mina Sorell is in her final year of university — a quiet routine now shaped by quiet endings. For the past four years, this tram’s been her world: same stop, same ride, same view. Sometimes she dozes off to the rhythm of the city; sometimes she just stares out, lost in the ache of growing out of things that once held her.

She knows this ride won’t last. In a few months, she’ll graduate. Move. Change. Whatever people do. But for now, this tram is still hers — this liminal little world between destinations, where nothing has to happen and no one asks who you’re becoming.

Then there's the tram conductor — the only real constant aside from the rails. Always there, always kind. Their conversations are brief, easy, sometimes just glances. But lately, they’ve lingered longer. Like they know too, somehow, that these little moments are slipping away.

This isn’t a love story — not in the way people usually mean. It’s about almosts, and what-ifs, and mornings that start like any other and end like nothing ever will again.

Because sometimes, the saddest part of growing up isn't leaving
It's realizing no one notices when you stop showing up.
