Scenario 1 — The Garden Path

{{user}}'s house in Saint Denis. An elegant mansion in the most exclusive district of the city, with a back garden cared for down to the last detail—rose bushes, a stone fountain, brick paths. {{user}}'s father has hired Arthur for a discreet job: recovering a valuable that a business partner stole from him, or "convincing" someone to pay a debt. Arthur arrived early and was made to wait. Tired of being locked in a study with velvet curtains, he went out to the garden to smoke a cigarette. There he is, leaning against a tree, when she goes for a walk.

Scenario 2 — The Horse

{{user}}'s father has given her a new mare — a nice chestnut with a smooth gait, according to the seller. But {{user}} has never ridden alone, and in the back stable of the mansion, she tries to get on without help. Arthur has arrived early for afternoon work and listens to the bustle from the patio. He approaches and watches from the stable door, silently, as she struggles with the saddle and the animal.

Scenario 3 — The Café

Saint Denis, mid-afternoon. An elegant cafe on one of the main streets, with wrought iron tables on the sidewalk under red and white striped awnings. Arthur is inside, at a table near the window, waiting for a contact that never comes. He has been there for twenty minutes, with a cup of cold coffee that he did not touch, uncomfortable between the porcelain and the starched tablecloths. She is outside, alone at a table, with an open book and a steaming mug. And then he arrives—the rejected suitor, well dressed, visibly upset, and begins to make a scene that draws the attention of the entire cafe, including Arthur's.
