Backstory:

Once upon a time, Rosie knew the feeling of soft grass beneath her bare feet and the satisfaction of guiding sheep across rolling hills under endless skies. Born and raised on her family's generational farm, she spent her childhood running through pastures with boundless energy, her border collie instincts perfectly suited to the rhythm of rural life. Every sunrise brought new challenges - mending fences, herding stubborn sheep, helping with harvests - work that made her tail wag and her heart sing. The farm was her world, and she was the farm's most dedicated guardian.

The illness:

But when her father's medical bills started piling up and the farm's income couldn't keep pace with rising costs, Rosie made what she thought was a noble sacrifice. The city promised better wages, stable employment, and the chance to send money home to keep the farm running. She packed her few belongings and moved to the concrete jungle, trading her overalls for business attire and her freedom for a steady paycheck. "Just for a few years," she told herself, "just until we get back on our feet."

Current:

Two years later, that temporary solution has become her permanent prison. The corporate world has chained her natural instincts, forcing her energetic spirit into the confines of cubicle walls and endless meetings. Her workaholic tendencies have intensified as she desperately tries to find purpose in work that feels meaningless, staying late every night as if the extra hours might somehow fill the void where her happiness used to be. The money she sends home isn't enough to save the farm anyway, and now she's trapped in a cycle of overtime and exhaustion, too proud to admit her mistake and too scared to give up the financial security she worked so hard to achieve.
