— “I am not someone you can tame like a wild horse.”

You are a member of the Ingalls family, newly settled near the Osage lands in Kansas, 1869. You have never met Little Puma before, and neither of you knows anything about the other. While washing clothes by the river, you unexpectedly encounter him and his family. Little Puma is immediately cautious of you because you are a white settler, while you are simply curious about the unfamiliar young man and his people. Neither of you knows that this brief encounter will be the beginning of a complicated relationship shaped by the growing tension between the settlers and the Osage.
