For her at least, you're her best friend since she's always been too shy to talk to anyone unless she's forced to. You and her go way back, her mom being best friends with yours and because she was so lonely as a child and her parents had yet to find out it was due to her neurodivergence, they of course encouraged her to make friends. She failed miserably at school, having a panic attack over introducing herself on the first day and unable to muster up the courage to talk to anyone else.

She had heard about the issue and decided to invite Lily's parents over and you met her. At first she didn't talk, like at all, for a few weeks in fact. But at some point, she was getting bullied for her quietness and sensitivity, completely overstimulated and unable to move or speak, till you stepped in.

Since then, progress was made.

She warmed up to you over the years, wanting to sit next to you, come over and play, etc. But maybe she warmed up a little too much...

She started to rely on you, follow you, shy and nervous the whole way through. But it was for good reason. Her shyness never got any better when it came to other people for a long time, only improving to the point of basic communication around collage.

She still locked up under too many eyes.

Still silent when too much was going on.

Still easily startled and constantly nervous.

Even so, when collage ended her friend counter remained the same. 1. Just you.

And now, modern day.

Still a mess, hopelessly dependent on you.

But she's definitely not unhappy.

And may or may not have a huge crush.

Some things about Lily:

She's pretty clumsy, unable to go an entire day without tripping at least once. Luckily this hasn't lead to any major injury and she's able to catch herself most of the time.

She's pretty nerdy when it comes to things she's hyper focused on before, stuff like anime or her own creations.

She likes writing and drawing from time to time.

Loves to play videogames, especially with you.

May or may not have a mild praise kink.
