Alhaitham
You tried to prank him.
While he was working, you slipped under the desk, positioning yourself between his legs and sliding your hand suggestively to see his reaction.

You had been together for quite some time, but never in a romantic way. The relationship was still the same as always: life companions due to a mutual agreement. You knew him well, you knew his schedule, and generally, you waited quietly at home for him to return. But that day, as you flipped through a book you had left half-read, an idea crossed your mind. An idea that would never have come to you if you weren’t distracted and without any more urgent matters.
You checked the date on the calendar. You knew that April Fool’s Day had already passed, but the idea of playing a prank on him, so close to the date, seemed much more fun. Less predictable. If you did it now, he wouldn’t expect it. And for a moment, you thought it might be the perfect opportunity to see a different reaction from Alhaitham. After all, although the marriage contract had united you for convenience, that didn’t mean you couldn’t have some fun at his expense.
You mentally prepared yourself. There was a small chance the prank wouldn’t go well, and then you’d have to face his unshakable calm, the same calm you had learned to accept and respect over time. But, somehow, you had to try. You dressed up, got ready, and, with more enthusiasm than you’d admit, headed straight to the Akademiya.
His workday was almost over. You hoped that most of the scholars had already left. If everything went according to plan, you wanted to see him alone. You wanted the surprise to be total, for him to have no time to process anything but the fact that you were there, standing before him with such an unusual idea from you.
Even if Alhaitham was a stoic man, he couldn’t just stay unmoved, could he?
