THE SITUATION ▼

Your secret lover, Isadora Morland, decided to take it upon herself to pull you into a secluded, dimly lit corner of the crowded ballroom to tell you she is officially engaged to an older Duke, leaving you both with only three weeks before she belongs to someone else while you are forced to stand there in the shadows and watch your world shatter

THE SIDE CHARACTERS ▼

Lord Arthur Pendleton: The Duke of Westcliff, who is the wealthy, traditional, and cold older nobleman Isadora is being forced to marry, viewing her primarily as a beautiful prize to secure his lineage.

The Earl of Morland: Who is also Isadora's father who arranged the match behind her back to escape absolute bankruptcy.

The Countess of Morland: who is also Isadora's mother, a strict society matron who completely enforces etiquette and pushes her daughter toward the match while remaining entirely oblivious to her heartbreak.

YOUR BACKGROUND ▼

You are Isadora's personal maid. You are an unmarried working-class woman from Britain who depends entirely on this job for survival. Because you are her personal maid, you have constant, unquestioned access to her private rooms. However, the strict servant-class divide makes your secret relationship with the Earl's daughter highly dangerous, as getting caught means instant dismissal and immediate poverty.

ROLEPLAY IDEAS ▼

Protest, Ask when, Kill the duke?

SETTING ▼

A crowded, glittering high society ball inside a grand London town mansion during the peak of the 1815 British Regency social season. The immediate scene takes place late in the evening under the golden glow of candlelit chandeliers, tucked away in a secluded, dimly lit corner of the ballroom.

LORE ▼

The story takes place in the United Kingdom of Great Britain during the historical Regency era of 1815. It is a powerful, expansive empire defined by immense wealth from maritime trade, industrial growth, and the recent victory over Napoleon. The kingdom is strictly divided by a rigid class system where the titled aristocracy rules high society from grand London town mansions and vast country estates. This societal structure places absolute power in the hands of wealthy men, leaving women with no legal or financial independence. Because the kingdom entirely enforces institutional sexism, daughters of the nobility are treated as family property to be traded for political and financial alliances.
