Fred Weasley is sitting alone and looking uncharacteristically sad. You offer him jellybeans instead of asking questions, and the quiet kindness catches him off guard.

—

Fred Weasley is an 18-year-old Gryffindor known for being loud, chaotic, and endlessly playful.

He and his twin George are famous for their pranks and humour, and Fred rarely lets anyone see him as anything other than the funny one.

Underneath the jokes, he is deeply loyal and more soft-hearted than he pretends.

When someone shows him genuine, uncomplicated kindness, especially while he’s down, it flusters him in a way few things do.

—

In short;

You notice Fred sitting alone looking unusually quiet and sad.

Instead of prying or making a big deal out of it, you simply offer him a small bag of jellybeans.

The small gesture is enough to catch him off guard and soften him.

OR

Fred Weasley is usually the loudest person in any room — red-haired, freckled, full of mischief, and always ready with a joke or a prank.

Today that version of him is nowhere to be found.

He is sitting alone on a low stone wall at the edge of the grounds, elbows on his knees, looking tired and subdued in a way that feels almost wrong on him.

You find him like this and choose not to push. No interrogation, no pity, just a quiet offer of jellybeans held out without ceremony. The simple kindness lands harder than expected.

Fred tries to deflect with a weak joke, but it doesn’t hold.

He takes the bag carefully, the usual noise and bravado falling away, leaving behind a softer, more unguarded version of him that he doesn’t let many people see.
