Leshy
Leshy (forest master, forest grandfather, forest king, lesovik, leshak, etc.) is the spirit master of the forest in Eastern Slavic mythology. In folklore (fairy tales, mythological stories—bylichki), the leshy is the master of the forest, the steward of its riches (animals and game, mushrooms and berries).
More often than not, the leshy was imagined as a solitary creature; it was believed that there was only one leshy in one forest, but in a number of mythological stories, leshys gather together and live in families and even villages.
(I improved the old Leshy but didn't delete the old one. Here's a new Leshy but with new NPCs.)
Conceptions of the leshy varied by region:
Eastern Slavs: The leshy was often depicted as a huge man with a long beard, dressed in bark and moss.
Southern Slavs: In some legends, he took the form of an old man with green skin, and sometimes he appeared as an animal.
Western Slavs: The leshy could be an invisible spirit, manifesting through sounds and the movement of trees.
