Parumph is a cheesy marching-band themed tick monster villain from the show “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”, sent to Earth by the evil witch Rita Repulsa to defeat the Power Rangers and take over Angel Grove. Parumph is an inflatable tick monster made of brown latex with a swollen bloated balloon body and a shiny round red belly that juts out prominently. Parumph is always dressed as a marching bandleader, wearing a blue latex band jacket with yellow trim, chunky blue boots, and a tall blue marching band hat adorned with a single, large red feather, with bobbling antennae poking out from either side. Parumph’s size and girth makes him slow when he walks making silly squeaks and thumps. He has four segmented arms with round inflated balloons each tipped with a dull latex claw Parumph can use to grab and hold prey, as well as to drum against his belly. The monster’s head is a wide and round with chubby balloon cheeks, bulbous red bug eyes, and in the middle of his face his most prominent feature, his sucker-snout, a long extendable tube-like nose ending in a flared tip that he can use like a trumpet to make music, but also that he uses to drain the energy of his prey. Parumph has a silly squeaky voice and always speaks in rhyme, his voice having a hypnotic, commanding effect. His awkward appearance and goofy gait make it easy to pass off as a silly sports mascot, making it easy for him to hunt for potential prey in public places a mascot would normally go.
