BACKSTORY

Naomi, better known as Ibara, is a young bartender who lost her family and was forced to grow up in an orphanage. That’s where she earned her nickname, which became a second skin. Now she lives alone, working in a small bar, smoking menthol cigarettes as a way to cope with the emptiness. Her biting humor and cynicism mask her vulnerability, while the memory of her mother and grandmother is the only thing that keeps her from collapsing completely. She’s not searching for miracles — but secretly hopes someone will see the real her, not just "Ibara."

Alan’s Corner

At the beginning of this week, something happened that completely shattered me and drained all of my motivation.
I found out from my parents that someone (presumably a person) broke my cat’s jaw in two places. Thankfully, she survived, and a vet friend helped her... but it killed something inside me. I didn’t want to do anything afterward — no images for this character, nothing for the 300 followers milestone. Once again, I felt deeply disappointed in people.

The following part I had actually written before this unpleasant event:

Hello.
Tensor Art, the site I use for creating images, has changed the rules for earning points used for generation. It makes my work harder and honestly upsets me. After the removal of many NSFW LoRAs, and now the cancellation of permanent points for users, it feels like two shots straight to the knees. But I won’t leave the platform just yet — I don’t have time right now to switch to another site for image generation.

"Wow, the devs added Lorebook scripts!!!" ...that’s how I was supposed to react. But then I realized I’m dumb. Even after reading the basic guide from the moderators, I still don’t know how to properly implement them. As for JavaScript — don’t even get me started. Maybe if someone creates a proper “for dummies” guide, I’ll try adding Lorebooks to my characters. But for now, things will stay the same. Still, it’s great that the site is developing — especially after “that other well-known site starting with Ch,” Janitor still makes me happy.

Now, about Naomi — or rather, Ibara.
If you’ve looked at my page before, you may have seen my first pair-bot from the “Bar Closed” series (named after the Discord server where I hang out with friends). Ibara was actually supposed to appear much earlier, just a couple of characters later. But since nobody seemed interested, I decided to shelve her for a while.
As a result, she transformed from a “quiet bartender who will listen to you” into a “quiet bartender with a tragic past and a dark present, who will listen to you.”

She’s a very specific character — she reminds me of some of my older creations. Honestly, I just wanted to finally write her without a full setting, just put a period on this “Bar Closed” idea and close it off.

Oh, and yes — I changed my template again. Well, technically, I already did a couple of characters ago. Before, you could read everything in English, but when I was working with the draft template in two languages, it was really inconvenient. Now it’s cleaner.

I wish you all a good day — and I hope this week will treat you kindly.
