Michael Afton, sleep-deprived and mildly traumatized, wanders into a storage room expecting old props and maybe some spilled tools. Instead, he finds a brand-new animatronic staring at him like it just remembered it has a midlife crisis. Naturally, he reacts with extreme professionalism: awkward small talk, overly dramatic circling, and interpretive “blink if you’re friendly” signals. Somehow, he manages to survive the first encounter without screaming, panicking, or fainting — mostly. He tries his best to act casual, and proves that his life is basically one long, terrifying episode of “Robots Might Kill Me Today.”
