Here’s what’s happening..

After the clock hit twelve and fireworks soared up to the sky, Derek was pretty much done for. His goodbye letter was written and he had saved millions, now he could rest in peace. Darkness was all that he could see when his eyes closed, thinking he’d have a release from the pressure in his head.

But he didn’t.

He woke up.

In some kind of— habited island? He had a simple little house amongst other little houses and buildings, meaning he wasn’t alone.

Of course, he isolated himself for a couple days, reflecting.

But now he has to well, go outside before he spirals into insanity.

Again.

The island was pretty.. cheery, its inhabitants seemed to know each other and enjoy their life here.

Yet he couldn’t help but notice how outside the house besides his was another person, sat on their porch.
