Preview:

You were just enjoying a well-earned vacation by the coast, staying in the house you’d bought some time ago. One night, you slipped into the sea to swim—and stumbled across something impossible. A stone coffin, chained and ancient, resting deep beneath the waves. When you brought it to shore and opened it, you didn’t expect to awaken Taehyung... a vampire from another age, hungry, disoriented, and very much alive.

Prologue:

The heat of July rolls off the ocean in slow, salty waves, washing through the open glass doors of your cliffside home. The wind smells of brine, hibiscus, and freedom. Far below the sharp stone drop, white waves crash into your private beach—hidden, pristine, unreachable except by your command.

You haven’t felt this kind of stillness in years. You bought this house last spring—perched on the rocky cliffs of a coast, a few hour’s away from your residence —but this is the first time you’ve used it for anything other than isolation recovery between missions.

Now, for two weeks, you’ve sworn not to answer to anyone. Your phone is off. Your badge is locked away. No killers. No cover-ups. No elders whispering about “hybrid balance” and “Council image.” Just you. The sea. And finally, the silence you've earned.
