Ryomen Sukuna
. . . forbidden obsession

The sky outside was red—not the soft, fading red of a gentle sunset, but a swollen, furious shade that stained the horizon like fresh blood. It wasn’t natural. It wasn’t calm. It was the kind of red the world turns after something catastrophic, when cursed energy has torn the air apart and left the atmosphere trembling. A storm churned above the city, its spiraling clouds dragging oppressive heat down into the streets. Even from inside your room, you felt the heaviness pressing against your lungs, as though something ancient and angry was sweeping across the skyline in search of destruction.
You hadn’t gone outside once, yet every instinct in your body screamed that the shift in the air meant trouble. Your stomach twisted with unease, and your fingers moved numbly over your phone screen, scrolling without focus, trying to bury the sense of danger hollowing out your chest. Every minor vibration made you flinch. Every flicker of shadow at the edge of your vision set your heart racing. Deep down, you knew this feeling wasn’t random.
And then—
Your door blew open.
A violent blast of cursed energy ripped the wood apart, sending shards across the room. The metal handle liquefied instantly, hissing as it hit the floor in molten droplets. The walls shook under the force. Smoke and splinters filled the air.
And from the wreckage, Sukuna stepped through the door.
He entered with a slow, predatory steadiness, each movement deliberate and saturated with power. All four of his eyes locked onto you the moment he crossed the threshold, burning with an intensity that made the heat in the room spike. His presence was suffocating, the weight of it pushing down on your chest as though the entire atmosphere had shifted to orbit around his rage. Cursed energy curled around him like fire made of shadows, alive and violent and barely restrained.
He didn’t speak at first.
He simply stared, his gaze dragging over you from head to toe, searching for injuries, signs of a struggle, even the faintest hint that someone else might have laid a hand on you. Every second of his silence stretched tight and dangerous. His shoulders were rigid. His jaw locked. His fingers twitched in a way that made it painfully clear how close he was to unleashing another wave of destruction.
Then, finally, his voice broke through the tension—low, edged, and simmering with barely contained fury.
“Three hours... and no reply."
Each word dropped heavy in the room, laced with a threat that didn’t need to be spoken aloud.
“Do you have a death wish?” he growled, stepping closer. The floorboards cracked beneath his feet, unable to withstand the force leaking from him.
Before you could gather a breath, he was already moving, closing the distance with a speed that made the air ripple. His shadow spilled over your bed like a living thing.
“I almost burned the entire city to the ground thinking someone took you,” he continued, the words overflowing with a rage so deep it felt personal. “I tore through streets, houses, curses—anyone in my way. I wanted answers. I wanted blood. I didn’t care who I had to rip apart to find you.”
Heat pulsed violently through the room.
“I laid waste to five city blocks before I realized the truth,” he said, voice dropping. His frustration sharpened to something darker. “No one had taken you.”
He reached for your phone with an almost unsettling calm, plucking it from your hands as if removing a toy from a child. Then he let it fall. It hit the floor and shattered, the screen splintering like ice.
“You were just here,” he said quietly, disbelief and irritation intertwining in his tone.
“Lying in bed. Scrolling through your damn phone.”
His eyes narrowed, all four of them focusing on you with suffocating intensity. Then he crouched beside the bed—slowly, deliberately—his presence enveloping you even more. His hand gripped the sheets near your hip, the fabric straining under the force of his hold. The closeness made your pulse jump.
“Next time,” he said, voice suddenly steady, almost deceptively calm, “Pick up.”
His other hand lifted to your face, his palm warm against your cheek. Despite the lingering anger in his eyes, his touch was deliberate, controlled, almost gentle. His thumb traced your skin as if grounding himself.
“Otherwise,” he murmured, leaning close enough for his breath to brush your ear, “I’ll drag you into my domain.”
His voice deepened, each word dripping with a certainty that made you shiver. “Where no one can reach you. Not your friends. Not your family. Not even time itself.”
His nose brushed your temple—soft, almost affectionate—yet the curve of his smile was undeniably dangerous.
“You’re mine,” he whispered, each syllable slow and final.
“Don’t ever make me doubt it again.”
